Why did you choose to take on leadership with the Executive Women’s Committee, and what personal or professional experiences drive your commitment to this work?
Stepping into leadership with EWP was a natural extension of my passion for fostering meaningful connections and strengthening our community. Encouraged by two incredible leaders—Katie Pryor, EVP and COO of the Greater Houston Partnership, and Isaac Johnson, President and CEO of TDECU—I saw an opportunity to deepen relationships across industries and expand my impact. Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed how powerful networks can accelerate growth and open doors, and I’m committed to ensuring EWP remains a space where senior women leaders connect, collaborate, and elevate one another for the benefit of the broader business ecosystem.
As the incoming chair of the Executive Women’s Partnership (EWP), what are your key priorities for the group, and how do you envision advancing its mission to support senior women leaders in Houston?
My priorities build on the strong foundation set by past chairs and committee members, ensuring that EWP continues to grow, evolve, and create lasting impact:
EWP’s mission has always been about more than networking—it’s about driving real change and shaping the trajectory of leadership for women in Houston. I am committed to continuing the incredible work of those who came before me, strengthening our collective influence, and creating new opportunities for the women who lead today and for future generations to come.
How has your experience as a member of EWP shaped your perspective on leadership and collaboration, and how will those experiences inform your approach as chair?
Being part of EWP has reinforced my belief that leadership is not a solo journey. I’ve seen firsthand the power of bringing women together to share insights, navigate challenges, and champion each other’s success. This experience has also deepened my appreciation for Houston—a city where ambitious women shape industries, drive economic growth, and create lasting impact. As chair, I will foster an environment where every EWP member feels seen and supported while expanding our collective appreciation for the city we call home and the incredible women leading its future.
In what ways does EWP engage its members to drive collective action and build momentum for advancing women’s leadership in Houston’s business ecosystem?
EWP thrives on the strength of its members—some of the most influential women in Houston’s business community. Together, we create impact that extends beyond our own careers, shaping the future of leadership in our city. We do this through:
What advice would you offer to emerging female professionals who aspire to executive positions, particularly within Houston's business environment?
"Confidence comes from action, not perfection." Too often, women wait until they feel 100% ready before stepping into leadership roles—but readiness comes from experience, not hesitation. Own your seat at the table. Raise your hand for opportunities, advocate for yourself, and surround yourself with mentors who will challenge and champion your growth.
Looking to the future, what excites you most about the opportunities for EWP to shape the trajectory of women’s leadership in Houston, and what legacy do you hope to leave as chair?
The future of women’s leadership in Houston is stronger than ever, and EWP is driving that momentum forward. More women are stepping into CEO roles and leading transformative change across industries, demonstrating the power of this network and the incredible impact EWP women have made across Greater Houston and beyond.
As chair, my goal is to build on this progress by amplifying opportunities, increasing representation in key leadership roles, and strengthening the influence of EWP. I want to ensure that we continue to elevate and showcase the achievements of our members, reinforcing EWP as a powerful force for progress, connection, and lasting change.
The legacy I hope to leave is simple: a Houston where women’s leadership continues to thrive, shaping the future of business and the broader community.
When you think about Houston’s overall trajectory as a city—what word comes to mind?
“Limitless.” - Houston is a city that never stands still—it’s constantly evolving, innovating, and pushing boundaries. No matter where you come from or what you aspire to do, Houston is a city where anything is possible.
