Pursuing sound public policy at all levels of government is instrumental in the Partnership’s mission to make Houston the best place to live, work and build a business.
A critical component of the Partnership’s work to advocate for strong policy lies in the expertise of our member base. To further engage our members in our policy work and to provide a platform of engagement between our members and policymakers, the Partnership launched the Future of Texas series in the summer of 2018.
Allowing members to meet and discuss policy objectives and insights with elected officials shaping Texas' future, the series hosted 11 elected officials throughout the year ahead of the 86th legislative session, and due to a highly positive reception, the Partnership added Future of Texas to our Program offerings at the start of 2019.
Future of Texas will host monthly events, providing members focused on government relations work and policy at local, state and federal levels a place to convene and build relationships with the Texas delegation. Learn more about Future of Texas and sign up to join the Program here.
Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) will kick off Future of Texas’ 2019 programming on Friday, February 22. Congresswoman Fletcher represents Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, located entirely within Harris County and serves on the 116th Congress' House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure and House Science, Space, and Technology Committee.
