Based in Houston, Texas and a 33-year veteran of the company, Tom DeBesse is the leader of the Southeast Texas branch banking team.

Tom is responsible for 128 branches with more than $23 billion in assets. He leads an engaged team of over 1,100 employees dedicated to serving customers and communities.

In his banking career, Tom has served in all branch banking leadership positions across the Southeast Texas Region. He began his career in 1992 with First Interstate Bank, which was later acquired by Wells Fargo.

Tom is an active volunteer in Houston and the surrounding communities. He currently serves as a board member for the Greater Houston Partnership, Miller Outdoor Theatre, Houston Area Urban League, and Spring Branch Education Foundation.

Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin
